Many-Objective Hybrid Optimization Method for Impeller Profile Design of Low Specific Speed Centrifugal Pump in District Energy Systems

Low specific speed centrifugal pumps (LSSCP) are widely utilized in district energy systems to promote the integration of renewable energy. However, performance LSSCP becomes inefficient due harsh operating conditions resulting substantial increase consumption. Many-objective optimization is significant improving and promoting sustainability systems. Among existing methods, global methods limited by high computational cost when solving many-objective problems, gradient-based face difficulties locating optimum. In present study, a hybrid method was developed for problems LSSCP. The result algorithm compared with that non-dominated sorting genetic (NSGA), so as demonstrate capacity proposed method. designed flow condition without cavitation, hydraulic efficiency obtained found be 9.5%, 5.4%, 4.7% higher than those original, NSGA-II, NSGA-III optimized results, respectively. shaft power 10.3%, 8.7% 5.1% less said three results. maximum turbulent kinetic passage from only 2.2 J/kg, which 67% 46% NSGA-II net positive suction head critical model 0.857 m, substantially reduced original NSGA- II
